Our Wines
The locality
Our wines come from the group of vineyards around Hochstätten, known as the “Hochstätter Liebesbrunner”. Our vines are planted on south-facing slopes in light, stony and loamy soil. This ground is known for producing fine flavours with little acidity, which make our wines taste good and wholesome.
In Harmony with nature
As a member of the supervising Weinbau Rheinland-Pfalz e.V., we run an ecologically adapted and environmently friendly wine business. The agriculture and our natural resources, like underground water, soil, and the air we breathe, are as little polluted as possible.
Our wines are produced according to the guidelines of the State of Rheinland-Pfalz for the ecological control of wine-growing. With the aim of protecting the great diversity of plants and animals, protective methods are carefully used and in small amounts. Landscaping, a balanced fertiliser and the renunciation of herbicides promote the fertility of the soil.
Our white variety of vines comprise Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Bacchus, Silvaner, Grauburgunder, and Weißburgunder grapes. Our red varieties comprise Dornfelder, Portugieser and Spätburgunder grapes
