As a candidate with knowledge of wine growing and preparation, you should advertise yourself with the appropriate wine advertising body of the area. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and unmarried. Candidates will be tested on their knowledge of wine production, aptitude, eloquence, and appearance, by (before?) the voting body. Once they have completed these tests successfully they will take part in the final competition for the election of the district wine queen at the Culinary Summer Night in Bad Münster am Stein. Whoever wins the support of the jury will become the Nahe Wine Queen, representing Nahe wine for a whole year at many events such as fairs, business conferences, wine festivals, openings at home and abroad.
As an ambassador of wine growers and wine estates the Nahe Wine Queen has the function of introducing the wine from the Nahe region to the whole world.
